RS India’s Precision Machining

RS India believes in the fact that CNC machining proves to be a stepping stone when it comes to follow and build dreams that you’ve ever thought of in your subconscious mind. To minimize the factors that may harm your dream in any way, RS India chooses each and every machinery in such a way that perfectly precise production may take place. Beginning from the raw materials that end at an accurate output, multi-functioning work-pieces simultaneously work.

Precision machining procedure generally involves three steps, which are:

  • Turning
  • Drilling
  • Milling

Some other minor operations are:

  • Boring
  • Sawing
  • Shaping
  • Broaching

A particular tool or machine is used to perform a specific operation, such as:

  • Lathe

The lathe machine is responsible for turning operations. This machine tool is basically used to give raw materials or metals to provide a particular shape, as well as size. This machine holds the work-piece, and performs several metals removing procedures that include the following:

  • Turning
  • Grooving
  • Chamfering
  • Knurling
  • Facing
  • Forming
  • Mills

Mills are used to performing the milling process. In general, this procedure turns out to be less accurate in comparison to the turning process. The reason behind the same is that the associated degree of freedom remains high. But, with the help of 5 axis mills, the accuracy gets improved. In the milling operation, a particular object or work-piece is fabricated in such a way that it turns out to be axially symmetric.

To accomplish the same, a milling tool comprises:

  • Fixture
  • Cutter
  • Work-piece

Work-piece is the object that is already turned or shaped and requires milling. The fixture secures the object, and then only the milling process begins. Cutter is used to removing the unwanted metal parts from the work-piece.

  • Twisted Drill

Drilling is the process, in which holes are being created in a particular metal piece with the help of circular cylinders. The twisted drill is one of the tools, i.e., used to perform drilling. Approx. 75% of the cutting material of the metal is being removed during the drilling process. While the drilling process is being followed, the twisted drill enters the object or work-piece and then creates a hole equal to the drilling tool’s diameter.
